I found out about the flowmodoro approach from Justin Sung. It’s a modified version of the famous pomodoro timer, that’s supposed to fix it’s flaw of breaking flow. Instead of counting down a predetermined amount of time for work and break, you start a stopwatch when you start working and you stop it when you notice your attention drifting too much away form your task. Then you can calculate the break time as a fraction of the just elapsed focus time.
I wanted it everywhere with me, so naturally it belonged on the watch.
